The Sleepy Pumpkin Patch
In a small village at the edge of autumn, Nora tends a pumpkin patch that has grown sleepy after a long summer. The pumpkins lean into their vines, the scarecrow Old Tom keeps a gentle watch, Pip the gray cat naps in the warmest spots, and Milo the barn owl glides over the rows at dusk. With the village lantern parade approaching, Nora and her neighbors decide this year the parade should be a gentle one: small lanterns, slow steps, and a soft song, so the patch can dream right through it. A calm, cozy tale of lamplight, harvest rest, and friends looking after one another. Perfect for drifting off on a quiet autumn night.
