Sleep story
The Sleepy Bookshop on Willow Lane
On a quiet November evening, Mara opens her little bookshop on Willow Lane to friends, cocoa, and story time by the fire. Her orange cat Fig curls up beside the children, June and Sam, while neighbors Mrs. Fern and Theo the baker join them for a forgotten blue book about a lighthouse keeper and his steady lamp. As Mara reads, the room grows sleepier, the fire burns low, and the first snow of the season begins to fall outside the glowing windows. A small note tucked inside the book reminds them all that a story shared on a quiet night has done its work. This gentle original tale, made just for Half Asleep Harbor, is full of warm light, soft pages, and the deep peace of coming home to a good book.
