Sleep story
The Sleepy Lighthouse
Tonight's sleep story is an original cozy tale written for Half Asleep Harbor. On the first foggy night of autumn, the small lighthouse at Lantern Cove begins to blink like a sleepy eye, and its keeper Wren discovers the fog itself is humming a low lullaby that is singing the great light to sleep. With Biscuit the orange cat supervising from his cushion, Wren washes the lens, keeps the lamp company, and hums in harmony until the fog settles and the beam shines steady again. Then she rings the harbor bell through the white quiet, guiding the last two boats, and their cargo of pumpkins, safely home to lantern light and soup.
